These chopped fibers are used as a reinforcement or filler material in high-stress, high-temperature applications, most notably for their role in ceramic underbody tiles which protect NASA space shuttles. These fibers are commonly chopped to 1/8", 1/4" and 1/2" lengths but are also available in custom lengths upon request. |
