| Long Description | Precision Brand 316 Stainless Steel Shim is made from a soft (annealed) temper material. Type 316 stainless steel has better corrosion resistance to most chemicals, salts, acids, and marine atmospheres due to an addition of 2.0 to 3.0% molybdenum. Fabrication characteristics of type 316 are similar to type 302 and type 304. Measures 150mm wide by 1.25m long by 0.25mm thick. Type 316 is used extensively in chemical and food processing equipment, photographic, pharmaceutical, marine, and textile finishing equipment. Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to offer Branded® shim. Branded® shim is fully traceable and quickly identifiable ”€ thickness, material type, and lot number are printed right on the shim material. |
