| Long Description | Precision Brand 316 Stainless Steel Shim is made from a soft (annealed) temper material. Type 316 stainless steel has better corrosion resistance to most chemicals, salts, acids, and marine atmospheres due to an addition of 2.0 to 3.0% molybdenum. Fabrication characteristics of type 316 are similar to type 302 and type 304. Measures 6" wide by 100" long by 0.025" thick. Type 316 is used extensively in chemical and food processing equipment, photographic, pharmaceutical, marine, and textile finishing equipment. Precision Brand® is the only manufacturer to offer Branded® shim. Branded® shim is fully traceable and quickly identifiable ”€ thickness, material type, and lot number are printed right on the shim material. |
